FAQ's

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. We will, however honor refunds as a result of an error we've made. Please contact us if there are any issues with your order.

Our marshmallows do not contain any preservatives, and we recommend that they be consumed within 3-4 weeks. How they're stored will affect the shelf life and texture. They may get a tad wrinkly over time, especially when exposed to too much open air, but they are still good! We recommend keeping them in an airtight container, at room temperature, to preserve their texture. Refrigerating and/or freezing may extend the shelf life, but we cannot guarantee.

We make our products to order to make sure they are at their freshest for you! Because of this we only offer full and half batch options on some of our confections. Singular items are typically only available at markets and popups.

Each mallow is handcut and standard size is roughly 1.5 inch cubes. Piped and shaped mallows will have the size in the product description. Since everything is done by hand, size and appearance will always vary batch to batch.

We offer local contactless delivery and pickup for the Richmond Metro Area: Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, and Hanover. If you have any questions about delivery areas or pick ups please email us, or fill out the CONTACT US form on the site.

We are currently shipping select products nationwide. This is subject to change for seasons, special occasions and events, and will always be stated in the product description in those instances.

Since orders are made fresh, there is a 3-4 business day processing time frame to get your order prepared for you. Pre orders, custom orders, and bulk orders are the exceptions. Pre orders will have the pickup/delivery date in the listing, and custom/bulk orders will be given a date. We promise it is worth the wait!

Karmalita's is a good time at a party! We take bulk and custom orders for parties, weddings, meetings and other events in the RVA area. If you have a flavor idea, color concept, or even party favor ideas that you would like to use to personalize your order, please contact us by filling out the Custom Order Inquiry form. We also will pull up to your wedding, birthday, baby shower, or office event. If you are interested in booking us for an event please use the Event Booking form.

Every mallow starts the same: sugar, water, gelatin, and egg whites, cornstarch and powdered sugar. Then we add in extracts, flavorings, and sometimes a cookie or fruit. Every item comes labeled with it's own specifics, but if you have questions before ordering, please don't hesitate to ask! We have also phased out of using corn syrup in our mallows and loving the results!

While our products are nut, seed, and naturally gluten free, they are prepared in a kitchen space where common allergens are present, including: wheat, eggs, soy, shellfish, fish, sesame, dairy and gluten. If you have a severe allergy we do not recommend eating our products. Our mallows are not vegetarian/vegan, as we use gelatin and egg whites in every mallow, regardless of flavor. We find they give the best texture that we enjoy.
